For the love of Italian cooking
It all started with nonna's recipe book, a wood-fired oven and the firm belief that good food needs time. Today we work as a family in the kitchen and in the dining room: one of us rolls out the tagliatelle in the morning, the other greets guests by name in the evening.
We make our pasta fresh every day, bake our pizza in the stone oven at around 400 °C, buy our fish at the market and source vegetables regionally whenever possible. Everything that does not grow in northern Germany comes straight from our Italian suppliers: Parmigiano Reggiano, olive oil from Puglia and San Marzano tomatoes.

A house right at the Alster lock
Our restaurant sits in one of the loveliest spots in the Stormarn district: where the river Alster runs through the lock and walkers, cyclists and day trippers pass by. In summer you sit outside on the green terrace, in winter by candlelight in the warm dining room.
We are the restaurant for the Sunday roast with the family, for an anniversary dinner for two and for the big celebration with up to 200 guests. What all these occasions share: you should leave the way you come back from Italy – full, relaxed and already planning your next visit.
