2. Access data and hosting
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes server log files (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, fault-free operation). The data is deleted after 30 days at the latest.
3. Cookies and consent
We only use technically necessary storage. Your choice in the cookie banner is stored locally in your browser (localStorage entry "alsterschleuse-consent") so that the notice does not appear on every visit. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
4. Reservations, event enquiries and contact form
The data you enter (name, phone number, e-mail address, date, time, number of guests, budget range, message and any files you upload) is processed solely in order to handle your enquiry. Reservations and event enquiries are stored on our servers within the EU, and we send a confirmation to you and a notification to alsterschleuse@web.de. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent). We delete the data as soon as the purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
5. Google Maps
The Google Maps map (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is only loaded after you have explicitly agreed (two-click solution). When it loads, your IP address and usage data are transmitted to Google, possibly also to the USA. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Without your consent no data is transferred to Google.
6. Google reviews
The reviews shown on our "About us" page are retrieved by our server from the Google Places API and rendered as plain text. Your browser does not establish any connection to Google, no cookies are set and no profile pictures are loaded from Google. Only if you click the link to our Google profile yourself does a connection to Google take place.
7. Fonts
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This establishes a connection to Google servers and transmits your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (consistent presentation of content). On request the fonts can be served locally.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority – the competent authority is the Independent State Centre for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein.
9. Status
This privacy policy is currently valid. Further development of the website or changes in legal requirements may make an update necessary.
